Since 1974, the Orange Players - which serves Orange, CT and the Greater New Haven area - has brought high-quality performances to the stage through its devotion to performing arts while fostering a strong, diverse community that gives everyone a chance to shine on-stage and behind the scenes.
What’s New?
Now in its eleventh season, Acting Up! is a showcase for unpublished, original one-act plays. Since its first performance in 2016, AU has developed into a much-loved series that has produced over 100 original short plays by playwrights from the CT, all parts of the US, and around the world.
AU is performed at High Plains Community Center [HPCC], 525 Orange Center Rd, in Orange. Performances are cabaret-style, and people are encouraged to bring food and drink. Live music is often provided before curtain time by The Rich Moran Quartet and the Senior Strings Band.
